Description:

The Grevena region is entirely mountainous, with lush forests and rich biodiversity. Chickpea cultivation dates back to the 18th century. At an altitude of over 670 meters, on a variety of soils ranging from heavy clay to light sandy with a pH of 6–8. On these sloping lands, the Grevena Small-Seeded Chickpeas of the Greek varieties Amorgos and Thebes are cultivated. They are perfectly adapted to the region’s microclimate. These are dryland crops sown in the spring, cultivated using gentle farming practices and with respect for the environment. They have thin skins and are delicious, with a rich, earthy flavor.
