During application: Start at the areas with the most gray hair (e.g., temples and forehead). Apply the color gel evenly against the direction of hair growth. If you want a more subtle color result, reduce the processing time by a few minutes. If you want to keep some gray hair on your temples, apply the mixture to those areas last and rinse it out from that area first. For hair with a significant amount of gray, we recommend leaving the mixture on for more than 10 minutes before rinsing your hair. Do not extend the application time beyond 10 minutes in an attempt to achieve a longer-lasting color result. This may result in a noticeably more intense color. Every additional minute the color is left on will produce a more intense color result. The processing time begins once application is complete.
After application: Use a toning lotion to rinse away any color stains that come into contact with the area around your hairline. To keep your hair color looking its best for longer, we recommend using Schwarzkopf care products for colored hair. Avoid washing your hair with bar soap or harsh shampoos, such as some anti-dandruff shampoos. Using them will damage your hair color. In general, sun exposure and chlorinated water cause your hair color to fade. To maintain your hair’s natural color, we recommend using MEN PERFECT about once a month. If you’re not satisfied with the intensity of the color you’ve achieved, try a darker shade next time.
